The sun was shining brightly and a slight breeze was blowing, as almost 100 actual and virtual walkers gathered on May 17th for the much-anticipated Walk With Ambe to raise funds to help build Good Shepherd Academy in Bafut, Cameroon. Secondary school in Cameroon is not mandatory, resulting in a large gap between school capacity and the number of potential students... You can help change that!

EDUCATION yields a larger impact than ANY other form of help or aid we can give to improving health, raising income, promoting gender equality, and reducing overall poverty.

For every year a child goes to school, HIV rates decrease, income potential and employment rates increase, girls marry later, early pregnancies decrease, and health is elevated for the entire family.

In Cameroon's public schools, there is only one teacher for every 45.6 primary school students.
In SECONDARY SCHOOL, the number increases to nearly 100 STUDENTS PER TEACHER.
