Board of Governors

The Good Shepherd Academy Association Board of Governors works in partnership with Good Shepherd Sustainable Learning Foundation, USA to manage the staffing, operations, recruitment, and program development of Good Shepherd Academy. Through joint WhatsApp groups and Zoom meetings, the two boards communicate and consult regularly about the ongoing needs of the Academy.

The cross-cultural partnership between the two boards is based on faith, mutuality, and transparency.

Secondary school in Cameroon is not mandatory resulting in a large gap between school capacity and the number of potential students. You can help change that!

EDUCATION yields a larger impact than ANY other form of help or aid we can give to improving health, raising income, promoting gender equality, and reducing overall poverty.

For every year a child goes to school, HIV rates decrease, income potential and employment rates increase, girls marry later, early pregnancies decrease, and health is elevated for the entire family.

In Cameroon there is only one teacher for every 45.6 primary school students. In SECONDARY SCHOOL the number increases to nearly 100 STUDENTS PER TEACHER.
