Joseph K.B. Fonlon, Esq. is a Senior Counsel for Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company and was previously in private practice with two full service law firms, Winstead PC and Jackson Walker L.L.P. Joseph has extensive experience representing a wide range of entities in structuring and negotiating complex commercial transactions, intellectual property, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investments.

Joseph also has experience as a business consultant and has counseled the senior management of various organizations on business strategy, marketing, commercialization and general corporate matters. A former researcher and scientist, Joseph worked with several prominent pharmaceutical and biotechnology firms, including Human Genome Sciences, Inc. and MedImmune LLC, a subsidiary of AstraZeneca.

Joseph enjoys giving back to his community and currently sits on or advises the board of several non-profit organizations, including the Cameroon American Community of Houston (CAMCOH) and the Cameroon Professional Society (CPS), where he provides guidance on a wide range of non-profit related issues. Joseph has also been instrumental in creating legal clinics to assist immigrant communities and spends a significant amount of time serving as a career coach and mentor.

Joseph holds a BSc. in Biochemistry from Columbia Union College, an M.B.A. in Corporate Finance from William and Mary Mason School of Business and a J.D. from the William and Mary Marshall-Wythe School of Law. Joseph was recently recognized as a Texas Super Lawyers – Rising Star.
